AT&T Communication Manager is an easy-to-use software that allows you to manage your connection to the AT&T mobile data network and to Wi-Fi networks. In order to use AT&T Communication Manager you must have a Microsoft Windows®-based computer, a compatible device and a compatible rate plan.*
Communication Manager offers a range of features, such as:
- Simple installation and intuitive user interface
- Access to our EDGE and 3G networks and roaming partners' networks, where applicable
- Provides easy authentication at AT&T Wi-Fi hot spots for customers who meet certain eligibility requirements**
- VPN-aware software that can help quickly establish connections for many of the leading VPN (Virtual Private Network) clients
- Data acceleration software that makes web browsing even faster using compression technology and efficient transmission techniques***

AT&T Communication Manager can normally be installed directly from your device or from an accompanying CD if included with your device. To see which version you have installed, check the under the “Help” in “About Communication Manager.
If you do not have the latest version of AT&T Communication Manager or cannot load it from your device, you can follow the steps below to download your free copy.

We recommend you download AT&T Communication Manager from an existing wireline Internet connection. Wireless usage charges apply for wireless downloads.

AT&T Communication Manager 7.0 for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems
AT&T Communication Manager 6.9 for Windows 2000 operating systems
Download Steps:
- Choose Save to save the installer to the Desktop.
- Double click the Communication Manager installer.
- Follow the installation wizard. Once installation is complete, restart your computer.
- After restarting your computer, double click on the "Communication Manager" icon.
- Connect your LaptopConnect device or handset to your computer.
- Click Connect and you will connect to the AT&T mobile data network.
Connection Software for Mac OS
Some LaptopConnect device manufacturers provide Mac OS-compatible connection software. The links below will guide you to the device manufacturers’ Web sites to download the appropriate software.
