International calling from Mexico or Canada
To place international calls from Mexico or Canada, you will need to use the international number format – plus sign followed by the country code and the phone number. The plus sign can be accessed from most GSM phones by holding down the 0 key. For example, to call the U.S., whose country code is 1, dial +1, then the area code and phone number. Voice calls made or received while roaming in the Gulf of Mexico will be charged $0.99 per minute.
Local calls within Mexico or Canada can be made simply by dialing the 10-digit number, including the area code and local phone number.
You can access your voicemail when roaming in Mexico or Canada by holding the 1 key. If you aren't able to reach voicemail this way, you can also access it by dialing +1, then your wireless number. Once you hear your voicemail greeting, press the * key and enter your voicemail password. Calls to voicemail when roaming internationally are billed at international roaming rates*.
