GoPhone® Roaming in Mexico
& Canada
You can use your GoPhone service when you travel to Mexico and Canada!
No additional services are required to roam in these countries – all GoPhone customers are automatically enrolled and eligible.Rates while roaming in Mexico & Canada:

If you have a messaging package (or are on a rate plan that includes messaging) the text, picture or video messages you receive while roaming will count against the package or plan.
Data packages (or plans that contain Data service) do not apply to any data use while roaming in Mexico and Canada. Data usage, including browsing the Internet while roaming is charged at $0.0195 per kilobyte.
If you are on a plan with a daily access fee, it will not be charged when roaming in these countries. If you are on a plan that includes Mobile to Mobile or Night & Weekend Minutes you will not be able to use those minutes while roaming.
International calling from Mexico or Canada
To place international calls from Mexico or Canada, you will need to use a plus sign (+) followed by the country code and phone number.
On most GSM devices, holding down the “0” key will cause the + sign to appear.
Example: To call the U.S. (country code 1), dial +1, then the area code and phone number.
Local calls within Mexico or Canada can be made by simply dialing the area code and local phone number.
To access your voicemail when roaming in Mexico or Canada, hold the “1” key.
If you aren’t able to reach voicemail this way, you can dial +1, then your area code and wireless number. Once you hear your voicemail greeting, press the * key and enter your voicemail password.
Calls to voicemail when roaming internationally are billed at international roaming rates.
Voice calls made or received while roaming in the Gulf of Mexico will be charged at $0.99 per minute.
International roaming in countries other than Mexico or Canada is currently unavailable.
Assistance while roaming in Mexico or Canada
To reach Automated Assistance or Customer Care while roaming in Mexico or Canada, dial 611 from your wireless phone or +1 408 -962 -1025 from any landline phone.
