Accessing AT&T's Wi-Fi Hot Spots is easy. You can use any Wi-Fi enabled laptop or other device to connect quickly and seamlessly.

Get started with LaptopConnect

  • Log in to the AT&T Hot Spot web page with LaptopConnect
  • Activate the wireless networking functionality on your laptop or Wi-Fi-enabled device and look for the SSID "ATTWIFI"

Once connected to "ATTWIFI" you will be presented with options to order AT&T's Basic or Premier service.

Get Started with iPhone

  • User must have an applicable iPhone data plan
  • User must have an active account in good standing

iPhone OS 3.0 Software Apple® iPhone™ users, get started with Wi-Fi

If you purchased an iPhone 3G S or updated your original iPhone or iPhone 3G with the latest Apple iPhone OS 3.0 software here's how to access AT&T Wi-Fi Services:

  1. Activate Wi-Fi from the settings icon on your iPhone.
  2. Once you are in an AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot, select "attwifi" from the list of available networks.
  3. Every time you enter an AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot, you will be automatically and securely logged into the AT&T Wi-Fi network.
  4. Enjoy surfing at broadband speeds.

If you have not updated to iPhone OS 3.0 software

If you have an original iPhone or iPhone 3G running iPhone OS 2.0 software here's how to access AT&T Wi-Fi services:

  1. If you're an AT&T iPhone subscriber, you must first configure your iPhone to look for the AT&T Wi-Fi SSID, "attwifi".
  2. Launch your Web browser.
  3. Enter your 10-digit AT&T wireless phone number into the login number box.
  4. Read the AT&T Wi-Fi Terms of Service, and check the "I Agree" box.
  5. You will receive an SMS message with a secure personal authentication link. Click the link to be securely logged on to the AT&T Wi-Fi network and be presented the AT&T Wi-Fi Welcome page and full Internet access. Enjoy!

You may also upgrade your AT&T 2G or 3G iPhone to the latest software. Just launch iTunes®, select the Apple 3.0 (or later) software update, and sync your iPhone. You may also update your original iPhone or iPhone 3G to the latest Apple iPhone OS 3.0 software. Just connect your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes®. Choose update to download the new software. To get connected to a Wi-Fi Hot Spot, follow the instructions above.
