Find an AT&T Hot Spot near you

Generally, Wi-Fi offers faster connections than our 3G cellular network. Accessing the Internet from any Wi-Fi connection – including a home wireless network – does not count toward your data plan.

Get started with your iPhone

If you purchased an iPhone 3GS or updated your original iPhone or iPhone 3G with the latest Apple iPhone OS 3.1 software, here's how to access AT&T Wi-Fi Services:

  1. Activate Wi-Fi from the Settings icon on your iPhone.
  2. Once you are in an AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot, select "attwifi" from the list of available networks. Your iPhone will automatically connect and securely authenticate on the AT&T Wi-Fi network.
  3. Just launch your browser to access the Web.
  4. After you've connected to an AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spot the first time, the next time you enter that hotspot and launch your browser, you will be automatically and securely logged into that network.
  5. If you have an original iPhone or iPhone 3G running iPhone OS 2.0 software, you can download the free iPhone OS 3.1 software update through iTunes to take advantage of auto-authentication at AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots.
