Q. What is the difference between Mobile Video and CV?
A. Mobile Video is simply the new name for the service that used to be called "CV."
A. First, you will need a 3G phone and a data package with unlimited Mobile Video and MEdia™ Net. Access your phone's menu and launch "Mobile Video" (some phones may display the former name for Mobile Video, "CV"). That's it. Any video that you pick will start playing.
Q. How do I find clips to watch?
A. Just select the Mobile Video (formerly CV) icon from your phone's main menu. Your Mobile Video homepage will appear, already loaded with the day's top news, the latest sports update, and a featured entertainment clip. Select a clip and watch it play.
Q. How do I personalize the Mobile Video homepage?
A. Personalizing Mobile Video is simple. Every page in Mobile Video has an "Add to My Mobile Video " feature built in. If you find a page you like – whether it is a category like "News & Weather," a channel like "ESPN," or a particular TV program – simply scroll down and select "Add to My Mobile Video." Your newly added favorite will appear at the top of your Mobile Video homepage, highlighted in blue. When you purchase premium content, it is automatically added to "My Mobile Video " as a Favorite. Mobile Video's weather updates are automatically linked to your hometown, but can be changed by selecting "Change Location" in the weather section.
Q. How do I manage "My Mobile Video"?
A. From the Mobile Video homepage, select "My Mobile Video – Edit" at the top of the page. You'll see a list of all of your current favorites, along with icons next to each one to delete it or bump it up in the order. When you are happy with your favorites, select the "Return to Mobile Video Home" link to see your Mobile Video homepage – instantly updated with your new selections.
Q. What are Parental Controls?
A. Parental Controls provide content filtering and purchase blocking on your phone so you can restrict access to content that may be inappropriate for younger viewers. Turning Content Filters "on" will block access to all Mobile Video content. Turning Purchase Blocker "on" will block all purchases and cancel any existing subscriptions.
Q. How do I set Parental Controls?
A. You can access Parental Controls from the menu at the bottom of any Mobile Video page or MEdia™ Net. To change Parental Controls settings, you will be required to provide your email address and establish a PIN code. Parental Controls settings can be easily turned on or off at any time by using your PIN code.
To restrict access to mature content on MEdia™ Net, Mobile Video, and the mobile Web, or to block the ability to purchase premium content:
- Select Parental Controls from the Mobile Video main menu.
- Select OK to establish a PIN code and provide your email address.
- Enter a 4- to 10-digit PIN code, provide your email address, and select OK.
- Check the controls you would like to turn "On" and select Save. You will receive a confirmation screen that lets you know your changes were saved.
- You can also manage Parental Controls by contacting Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500.
