SYMPTOM:
Modem / Tethering
ADVISORY:
IMPORTANT: Do not run the Device Wizard in Communication Manager if you are using a PC card modem. Doing so may adversely affect the stability of your connection to the AT&T wireless network. If the Device Wizard was inadvertently executed, see this article to re-establish the communication between the PC card modem and Windows.
  1. Select Tools > Device Wizard...
    IMPORTANT
    : Do not insert or connect device until prompted to do so by the software.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Select device, click Next.

  4. Installing device drivers.

  5. Insert or connect the device. The Device Configuration Wizard will automatically configure the device.
  6. Click Next.

  7. Detecting device.

  8. The device has been configured, click Next.

  9. The device is now ready for use, click Finish.

Note: In some cases even after successfully pairing the device the Bluetooth option may be greyed out. In this instance you may be able to manually select the device:

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click GSM
  4. Click Device Selection
  5. Click Select, and select the modem manually
