Running Device Installation Wizard in Communication Manager 4.x.

Communication Manager 4.0

SYMPTOM:
Modem / Tethering.
ADVISORY:
IMPORTANT: Do not run the Device Wizard in Communication Manager if you are using a PC card modem. Doing so may adversely affect the stability of your connection to the AT&T wireless network. If the Device Wizard was inadvertently executed, see this article to re-establish the communication between the PC card modem and Windows.
  1. Select Tools > Device Installation Wizard.
    IMPORTANT    : Do not insert or connect device until prompted to do so by the software.

  2. Select the "network type" you are configuring the device for, click Next.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Select device, click Next.

  5. Installing device drivers.

  6. Insert or connect the device. The Device Configuration Wizard will automatically configure the device.
  7. Click Next.

  8. Detecting device.

  9. The device has been configured, click Next.
  10. The device is now ready for use, click Finish.
