ADVISORY:
Effective June 3rd 2007: Existing BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 users will receive a message prompting for migration to BlackBerry Internet Service 2.x. Subscribers may continue to login without migrating, however the message prompting to migrate will appear at every subsequent login until the account is migrated. Prior to migrating the BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 account confirm the mailbox size is below 75% of capacity. Once the BlackBerry Internet Services account is upgraded to version 2.x, the account can not reverted to version 1.8. Customers using the Nokia 9300 with BlackBerry Connect do not have the capability to upgrade to BlackBerry Internet Service 2.x.
The BlackBerry Internet Service account may also be accessed from the device.

Prerequisites

  • NEW BIS USERS (Post-BIS 2.4 as of 09/15/07): Perform one of the following to create a new account
  • EXISTING USERS (Pre-BIS 2.4 as of 09/15/07): Access BlackBerry Internet Service using the following instructions.
     

Procedure

  1. Go to the following URL: www.mycingular.blackberry.com.
  2. Enter the appropriate User name and Password, then click Log In.
    NOTE: If the password has been forgotten, select "Forgot Password?". If the "User name" has been forgotten, contact Customer Care.

     
    • WARNING: Existing BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 users will receive a message prompting for migration to BlackBerry Internet Service 2.x. Subscribers may continue to login without migrating, however the message prompting to migrate will appear at every subsequent login until the account is migrated. Prior to migrating the BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 account confirm the mailbox size is below 75% of capacity.       .  Nokia 9300 users with BlackBerry Connect may delete all current integrated E-mail accounts and create a new account to take advantage of the BlackBerry Internet Service 2.x features.
      • To continue to login without migrating, click No.
      • To migrate to BlackBerry Internet Service 2.x, click Yes.
