Configuring the Browser settings:

  1. Press Start.

  2. Select Internet Explorer.

  3. Press Menu then Options.

  4. Select Connections.

  5. Verify the following settings:
    • Automatically detect settings: Unchecked.
    • Select network: WAP Network. (Press Left or Right on the Action key until the desired choice is present.
  6. Press Done twice.
  7. Press the Home key.
  8. Tap Start.

  9. Select Settings.

  10. Select Connections.

  11. Select GPRS.

  12. Highlight Cingular GPRS, and press Menu then Edit.

  13. Verify the following profile settings:
    • Connects From: The Internet
    • Access Point: wap.cingular
    • Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
    • Password: CINGULAR1
    • Primary DNS: Leave Blank
    • Secondary DNS: Leave Blank
    • IP Address: Leave Blank
  14. Tap Done twice.

Configuring the Access Point settings:

  1. Select Proxy.

  2. Highlight MEdia Net, press Menu then Edit.

  3. Verify the following profile settings:
    • Connects From: The Internet
    • Connects To: WAP Network.
      Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80
    • Type: HTTP
    • User name: Leave Blank
    • Password: Leave Blank
  4. Tap Done twice.
  5. Tap the Home key.
  6. Attempt an internet connection.
