Select Foundation Accounts

While navigating in eBill, many activities require you to have a Foundation Account selected.  This is the account used for any Foundation Account related activities in eBill.  To perform activities on a different account, change the Foundation Account that you currently have in context to the Foundation Account that you want.

If you have permission to access only one Foundation Account, you can still perform the steps to change the selected Foundation Account.  The resulting list will only contain the one Foundation Account you have permission to access.

Only Company Administrators  can access and select Foundation Accounts.  Billing Account Managers and Wireless Users cannot select Foundation Accounts.

 

Change the selected Foundation Account

1.       From the current page, click “Change Foundation Account.  The Select Foundation Account window opens.

    If the current page does not have a Change Foundation Account button, return to the eBill homepage. To do this, click the Foundation Account Number hyperlink in the Account Context Indicators under the blue bar at the top right of the page.  Then click Change Foundation Account on the eBill home page. Alternately, you can perform a search for a different Foundation Account.

2.      In the table, locate the Foundation Account and then click Select.  The table will only display Foundation Accounts that you have permission to access.

If an account does not appear on the list, you may have to search additional pages using the pagination functionality.

 

When you view the Select Foundation Account page, the left side of the screen contains a pane that allows you to find a Foundation Account in the table. A find can be done by entering either the Foundation Account Number or Foundation Account Name instead of paging through the list of available Foundation Accounts.

 

Find Foundation Accounts by name

1.      On the Foundation Account Selection page, select Foundation Account Name from the Find By drop-down list.

2.      Enter the Foundation Account Name in the text box located to the right of the drop-down list.

    You can enter part of the Foundation Account Name and include a wildcard character, * (asterisk), either at the beginning or end of the name (or both).  Wildcard characters cannot appear between other characters in the name.  When you include a wildcard character eBill returns all results that contain the text entered and one or more other characters in place of the wildcard character.

3.       Click Find.  Any matching Foundation Accounts appear in the table below.

 

Find Foundation Accounts by number

1.       On the Foundation Account Selection page, Foundation Account Number is the default selection from the Find By drop-down list.

2.       Enter the Foundation Account Number in the text box on the right of the drop-down list.  Foundation Account Numbers are always eight digits.  Enter any leading zeroes.

    You can enter part of the Foundation Account Number and include a wildcard character, * (asterisk), either at the beginning or end of the name (or both).  Wildcard characters cannot appear between other characters in the name.  When you include a wildcard character eBill returns all results which contain the text entered and one or more other characters in place of the wildcard character.

3.      Click Find.  Any matching Foundation Accounts appear in the table below.
