AT&T Voice DNA® Administrator Support

Manage Dial Restrictions and Overrides – Mass Management

Overview

As an AT&T Voice DNA® Administrator, you can manage the assignment of custom dial restrictions and dial restriction overrides.

Company Administrators can assign dial restriction or dial restriction override patterns for an entire company, a specific location, and users in the company.

Location Administrators can assign dial restriction or dial restriction override patterns to users at the locations they manage.

To manage the assignment of dial restrictions on a user-by-user basis, see Manage User Dial Restrictions and Overrides.)

About Dial Patterns

Dial restrictions limit which calls can be placed, forwarded, or transferred from a user's phone number. (Dial restrictions don't affect incoming calls to that number.)

In addition to the general dial restrictions available through AT&T Voice DNA, you can create either of the following patterns and assign them to individuals, a location, or company-wide:

Dial restriction patterns Specify a number or range of numbers that a user is restricted from calling. Use a dial restriction pattern to create a restriction that you can't achieve using general dial restrictions. A dial restriction pattern might consist of single number, single area code, or single international country code.

Dial restriction override patterns Specify a number or range of numbers that a user can call, superseding any other dial restriction applied to that user. For example, if a user is restricted from making international calls, you could create a dial restriction override pattern that contains a single international number that the user can call.

For information about how to create and manage dial restriction patterns and dial restriction override patterns, see Create and Manage Custom Dial Patterns. For information about general dial restrictions, see Manage User Dial Restrictions and Overrides.)
