AT&T Voice DNA® Administrator Support

Manage Location Equipment

If your organization has more than one physical location with the AT&T Voice DNA® service, each location has its own AT&T Voice DNA equipment managed by either the Company Administrator or a Location Administrator.

When replacing a location adapter, you'll need to update the adapter's media access control (MAC) address. To replace an adapter with a different make and model, use a service order.

To view a location's equipment settings

  1. Open the AT&T Voice DNA Administrator Dashboard. (For more information, see Log In.)
  2. In the Locations tile, click View List of all Locations. The Locations page appears.
  3. In the location's row, under Actions, click the Edit Location Details icon for the location you want to edit.

The Location Details page opens with the Profile tab selected.

  4. To view the location adapter settings, click the Equipment tab.

To edit a location's equipment settings

  1. Open the location equipment settings that you want to edit. (For information on how to do this, see the procedure above.)
  2. To edit the MAC address for an adapter, click Edit Equipment Details for the adapter you want to update. The Edit Equipment (Location Adapter) Details page appears.
  3. In the MAC Address field, enter a new address.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Replace the old location adapter with the new adapter, and move all the physical connections from the old adapter to the new adapter.

Note: All the necessary information about the analog phones connected to the adapter is download to the new adapter when you connect it to the network and turn on the power.

  6. Reboot the device. The reboot process automatically waits until there are no active calls.

Note: While a location adapter is rebooting, all calls from your location are disrupted, not just calls for non-IP phones and fax machines that are connected to the adapter phone ports. Rebooting most location adapters takes only a few minutes. If the location adapter hasn't been rebooted in a while, rebooting may initiate a firmware upgrade and take 15–20 minutes to complete.

Note: For information about editing a location's site survivability settings, see Manage Site Survivability.
